Song Ideas for the Wedding Party Dance
By Megan Mercer

The wedding party dance is a time to get all of your merry maids and men on the floor to honor them through a special song. This dance also introduces the wedding party to the rest of your guests, incase they didn't already know them.

The wedding party dance is one of the many "special" dances that is frequently omitted to try to cut down on the time before the party gets started and all of the guests can join in. You may want to reconsider this dance if you have very large wedding party, but discuss all of your options with your band or DJ.

Wedding Party Dance Selections
  • "Because You Loved Me" (Celine Dion)
  • "Count On Me" (Whitney Houston)
  • "Have I Told You Lately" (Rod Stewart or Van Morrison)
  • "Here And Now" (Luther Vandross)
  • "I Hope You Dance" (Lee Ann Womack)
  • "Just The Way You Are" (Billy Joel)
  • "On The Wings Of Love" (Jeffrey Osborne)
  • "Ribbon In The Sky" (Stevie Wonder)
