Thank you notes are very important and should not be overlooked. Unless you having a very small wedding it will be cheaper to have your stationer print your notes than buying them from a card shop.

You can order thank-you
notes that match your invitations, or you can choose
something completely different. Thank you notes are
typically blank on the inside and have the words "Thank
You" printed on the outside. Some couples however
choose to have their married names, such as "Mr.
and Mrs. George Washington" or even their initials
on the front of the card. Either
approach
is acceptable.
You should order at least as many thank you notes as wedding invitations. Remember, it is better to order too many cards and have leftovers than to run out. Placing a new order will be much more expensive. Plus you can always use your extra thank you notes for other purposes after the wedding.
