If you and your fiancé are
like most newlyweds, you don't have a lot of money to
splurge on your honeymoon. Whether you are broke
from the wedding or still paying on your college loans,
you too deserve a romantic getaway. Here
are
some
cost
saving tips to help you get started!
1. Book
Ahead
Since you and your fiancé should know your travel
dates well in advance, take advantage of the early
booking deals offered in the travel industry. Contact
your travel agent, hotel, airline, car rental company,
etc.. and ask about any
special rates, packages or incentives offered for booking
early. Avoid having to make any last minute
travel arrangements...they are bound to cost more!
2. Go
All Inclusive
With all food, drinks, taxes, tips, and entertainment
included in the price and paid for upfront, all inclusive
resorts/cruises can save you plenty of money! Also
you won't have the added stress of carrying lots of
cash and dealing with conversion
rates!
3. Stay
Close to Home
Look for a local bed & breakfast,
inn or tourist attraction within driving distance.
Without the cost of airfare, taxicabs, or rental cars
you can do a lot more for the money! Often
hitting a local hide-away can be more romantic and
less stressful than dealing with long flights, jet lag,
and
lost luggage.
4. Take
a Cruise
Cruises are a very popular option for many newlyweds!
Although each
one is different, many cruises are all inclusive and
some port in several different locations allowing you
to see & experience more for the money!
5. Serf
the Web!
There
are many websites that can help you uncover the lowest
prices for airfare,
hotel rooms, and car rentals at your honeymoon destination!
